About Kitty Cat Cove

KCC History & Beginning:

My love for fashion began around 8 years old when my grandmother taught me the basics of sewing.

I never really identified with mainstream fashion so creating clothing was only a hobby of mine as I grew up. I sewed my own halloween & renaissance fair costumes & made cute outfits for myself and friends. 

At my first EDM rave (6/17/2021) I quickly fell in love with the vibrant self-expression that the community encouraged.

After sewing my own outfit for my first EDM festival (8/27/2021), I knew that I had found my passion.

I spent several years developing my art & sewing skills to a professional level & exploring my self expression as well as existing fashion within the scene. On 1/11/24 I launched Kitty Cat Cove- combining my love for painting and fashion into my small business!

Kitty Cat Cove is named after my home. "Kitty Cat" was inspired by my 3 beautiful rescue cats who are my everything (& I consider myself to be a cat as well). The word "Cove" means a small sheltered inlet near the water- living near the beach in Florida, my home feels like a safe space & a shelter for myself and my kitties to be our authentic selves.

My goal with Kitty Cat Cove is to create vibrant, durable, & functional clothing that you will actually want to wear alllll night long. I want to create a safe space for other Kitty Cats to express their authentic selves and feel comfortable, confident, & at home in their clothing.

I personally hand-paint each design for KCC to embody & express specific energies & concepts. I typically paint these designs in the days following a rave/festival as a way to process my experiences & capture some of the magic!

As someone on the autism spectrum, comfort is non-negotiable for me: I use soft materials and I "test drive" all clothing prototypes that I create before making them available in my shop to ensure that they are both functional & sensory friendly!
